Medical Secretary

In order to cover a period of maternity leave, a vacancy exists for a Medical Secretary, initially on a temporary basis but with the possibility of permanent employment. Duties include: Copy and audio typing a high volume of patient records, Consultant notes and general correspondence; Dealing with confidential enquiries from members of the public; Booking appointments for Consultants, diary management and making travel and accommodation arrangements; General administration such as filing, faxing, photocopying and dealing with post and emails. The successful applicant will have at least 12 months secretarial experience. Experience of medical terminology would be an advantage but is not essential. All applicants must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
